Problem: When you create a drawing from a Visio-based content type in a SharePoint 2007 library (MOSS 2007 or WSS 3.0) you can get the following error in Visio 2007 when trying to check in the drawing. However, I you follow instructions, all pending changes will be lost.

Visio internal error: #3400
Action 1787: Check in File
First try closing and reopening the file. Next try restarting Visio.

Solution: Add all missing mandatory file properties.

Cause: The error is thrown because one of the mandatory values in the file properties is missing. Unlike the SharePoint properties, file properties do not generate a sensible error when you try to close the dialog window when entering metadata.
